Chamber's Night Out, After School Craft Club, Groovy Baby Music

1. Today's forecast: Coldest day this fall; highs only reaching the upper-40s under mostly sunny skies then falling to about freezing (33 degrees) tonight.

2. Charlestown Chamber is holding its monthly Night Out from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. hosted by Denise Montgomery of Mary Kay at the Mary Kay Training Center in the Schrafft’s Building, Suite 1M6, at 529 Main St. Parking is free for all attendees! Denise will be serving snacks and beverages, as well as offering 15 percent off all sales for chamber members.

3. The Charlestown branch of the Boston Public Library at 179 Main St. will have music, dance, and more with Ms. Bridget from Groovy Baby Music from 10:30 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. All ages will enjoy singing old favorites and playing with scarves, shakers, and other music toys.

4. The library is holding it's After School Craft Club. On Tuesdays, students can stop by between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. for a make-and-take craft activity.

5. On this day in 1929, The New York Stock Exchange crashes in what will be called  "Black Tuesday", ending the Great Bull Market of the 1920s and beginning the Great Depression.
