Charlestown Program Needs 20 'Big Sisters'
Do you have an hour to spare each week? Big Sister Association of Greater Boston could use it.
Today is Thursday, Sept. 8. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. You should be a big sister. Yes, you should. BigSisterBoston (on Twitter) says Charlestown needs 20 right now for a school-based program. One hour a week makes a difference. Want more info? Here you go.
2. Just got this note yesterday -- On Sept. 14, T-Mobile will hold a public hearing on a proposal to install and operate a WCF on St. Francis De Sales property at 303 Bunker Hill Street. The Neighborhood Council will host the hearing, which starts at 7 p.m., at the church. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend. 3. Tonight on Charlestown Live: Host Kathy Giordano chats with Ed Callahan, Charlestown Irish historian. He'll be talking about the Bunker Hill Cemetery. The show airs live at 6:30 p.m. Channel 9 BNN and RCN Channel 15.
