Charlestown Resident Submits Winning Name for Upcoming Musical Comedy

A Charlestown resident has been credited for creating the name of an upcoming musical comedy in Boston.

Kathy Wickerman, of Charlestown, wrote the name for “Dishing With The Divas: A Musical Comedy” as part of a “You Name The Show” contest. The name for the show was unveiled on the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre‘s marquee on Oct. 3.

The performance focuses on the final live studio broadcast of the talk show “Girl Talk” on WPMS radio. Two hosts and their most popular guest, a sex therapist named Dr. Lauda, are set to talk about life, love, sex, marriage, relationships, friendships, motherhood, careers, food and alcohol, among other topics.

The three are also set to perform songs by such artists as The Pointer Sisters, Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood and Aretha Franklin, among others.

The show will be formed at Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre, 270 Tremont St. on Friday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.

Tickets to the show cost between $48.75-$58.75, and can be purchased at citicenter.org or by calling 866-348-9738.
