Charlestown Students Win Poster Contest
Five Warren-Prescott students were named winners in the 30th annual MWRA poster contest.
Five Warren-Prescott students have been named winners in the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority 30th annual poster contest.
They are as follows:
In the grades K-2 category:
- Lauren Connors, grade 2, won First Place.
- Aidan Fittz, grade 2, won Second Place.
- Noel Gallagher, grade 2, won Honorable Mention.
- Frida Swallow, also grade 2, won Honorable Mention.
In the grades 3-5 category:

- Jack Adduci, grade 3, won First Place.
This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to create posters about water conservation. MWRA received more than 1,100 posters as well as over 600 essays on the topic of "What a Clean Boston Harbor Means to Me."
A ceremony honoring the winning students and their teachers was held at Deer Island on May 27, 2011. More than 250 people attended the event.
The contest is part of the MWRA’s School Education Program that educates students and teachers about the public health significance of water supply and wastewater treatment.
