Community Events You Shouldn't Miss This Week

Here are five events in the neighborhood to get in your calendar this week.

It's another busy week in Charlestown. Here are a few events to put in your calendar.

1. The city is actively working on a and officials are looking for community input. At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, there will be a second meeting of the Doherty Playground Committee. 2. A new series of performances opens this week at the Charlestown Working Theater: it's a two-week festival exploring ancient texts (the and the ) in new ways. The festival starts on Wednesday with the Odyssey. For tickets and more info, visit the Working Theater's web site.

4. There's an interesting event at the on Thursday night too: A , 1811-2011 with one of its co-authors, Webster Bull. This is free and open to the public. Book signing and reception will follow.
