Daily 5: Casino Comment Deadline, 'Dig Into Reading' Magic Show

Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on Tuesday, July 23 in Charlestown.

1. Rain: Tuesday, July 23 will be cloudy with showers and a possible thunderstorm, according to the National Weather Service. Some storms could produce heavy rain. A chance of showers will continue into the evening. High: 79, Low: 70.

2. Magic show: Bring kids to the Dig Into Reading Magic Show on Tuesday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at the Charlestown Branch Library (179 Main St.). This program is free, and no registration is required.

3. Casino comments: Charlestown residents have until the end of the day on Tuesday, July 23 to submit comments on early plans for the Wynn LLC resort casino in Everett. A copy of the extended environmental notification form is available for viewing at the Charlestown Branch Library and online. Comments can be submitted by email to anne.canaday@state.ma.us. This is the beginning of the project review process, and there will likely be additional opportunities for public input.

4. Where should "City Hall To Go" go? Once a month Boston residents get to choose where the "City Hall To Go" truck will go by sending their votes via Twitter to @CityHallToGo. The most popular location will be announced on Twitter, and the vehicle will arrive there at 12:30 p.m. On Tuesday, July 23, the truck will be at Peters Park in the South End.

5. Shakespeare on the Common: Commonwealth Shakespeare Company offers free Shakespeare On The Common throughout the month of July. Upcoming performances of “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” are scheduled for July 23-26 at 8 p.m., July 27 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and July 28 at 7 p.m. For reserved chairs and to order picnic boxes, visit www.commshakes.org.
