DiDomenico's Legislation on Early Ed, Out of School Facility Funding Signed into Law

Part of the $73 million bond to create or save approximately 1,100 units of housing.

Charlestown's State Sen. Sal DiDomenico (D-Everett) attended the signing of the state's Housing Bond Bill in Cambridge on Thursday, Nov. 17, which included legislation he filed to establish an Early Education and Out of School Capital fund.

This fund will create a designated source of funding – $45 million over a five-year period – for early education and out-of-school facilities that serve high-needs children.

The funds are in the bill committing $73 million to build or preserve affordable housing in Massachusetts by adding or saving more than 1,100 affordable housing units and creating nearly 2,000 construction jobs.
