Drug Disposal Bags Available Around Town

Organizers are distributing paper bags to encourage residents to participate in Safe Medication Disposal Day.

Paper disposal bags are available through several local businesses and organizations this week, encouraging residents to particpate in Safe Medication Disposal Day on Saturday.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bunker Hill Mall, you can dispose of any and all used, expired prescription or over-the-counter drugs at the Charlestown Open Market. Drugs can be packaged in the bags. Organizers will not ask any questions about the medication or collect any names from participants.

The bags are available at:

  • Foodmaster
  • CVS
  • High Pharmacy
  • MGH Charlestown clinic
  • Charlestown Nursery School
  • Good Shepard Nursery School
  • Zelma Lacey House
  • Golden Age Senior Center
