Charlestown Neighborhood Council meeting on the Rutherford Ave Surface Option

The Charlestown Neighborhood Council invites Charlestown residents and businesses to join the CNC for a brief presentation by the Boston Transportation Department. The BTD and its consultants will outline proposed strategies for improving the current and future traffic flow on Rutherford Avenue and in Sullivan Square.  The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

The data presented will show how the removal of the tunnels at Sullivan Square and Austin Street and the redesign of the intersections propose to improve present and future traffic conditions. The Surface Option will also accommodate traffic from the redevelopment of Assembly Square in Somerville (IKEA).
