Community Meeting on Navy Yard Safety

On Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m., come to the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Room 322 (36 First Ave.) and meet some of the people responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Navy Yard:

• Sergeant Tom Lema, Boston Police Department, District A-1, Community Service Supervisor


• Rebecca Coburn, CPP, CHPA, Manager, MGH Police and Security, Charlestown Navy Yard


• Mark Dowdle, Chief Park Ranger, Boston National Historical Park


• Tom Chiozzi, Senior Director of Security for the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network and Partners Healthcare at Home


• Coast Guard representative 

Learn about “Community Oriented Policing” and how all of these police and security organizations coordinate their efforts to increase safety in our community.

Ask questions about your concerns such as noise, skateboarders, LNG tankers, etc.

Learn what you can do to enhance your personal and community safety/security

Learn who provides security in the Harbor and who to contact for water based issues.

This meeting is open to the community.
