Community Meeting on Navy Yard Safety

On Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m., come to the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Room 322 (36 First Ave.) and meet some of the people responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Navy Yard:



  • Sergeant Tom Lema, Boston Police Department, District A-1, Community Service Supervisor

  • Rebecca Coburn, CPP, CHPA, Manager, MGH Police and Security, Charlestown Navy Yard

  • Mark Dowdle, Chief Park Ranger, Boston National Historical Park

  • Tom Chiozzi, Senior Director of Security for the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network and Partners Healthcare at Home

  • Coast Guard representative 


Learn about “Community Oriented Policing” and how all of these police and security organizations coordinate their efforts to increase safety in our community.
