First City Square Park Concert Scheduled Tonight

Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on June 19 in Charlestown.

1. Partly sunny: Today will be partly sunny with a high near 74 degrees and a low around 56, according to the National Weather Service.

2. City Square concert: Bring a picnic and come enjoy some New Orleans jazz performed by the Dirty Water Band tonight from 5:30-7 p.m. at City Square Park in Charlestown, part of the City Square Park Summer Concert Series. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to Thursday.

3. Parade recap: If you missed this year’s Bunker Hill Day Parade, you can catch a recap on Boston Cable BNN-TV Channel 9 or RCC Channel 15 today at 11 a.m. The parade will also be aired on Saturday, Sunday and early next week. 4. Twitter talk: The Boston Redevelopment Authority will host a Twitter chat on the new proposed urban agriculture rules today from 12-1 p.m. Use the hashtag #UrbanAgBOS to ask questions and provide feedback on the proposal. More details can be found here: http://patch.com/A-4HZH.

5. “Gangsters of Boston” talk: Journalist George Hassett will discuss his new book "Gangsters of Boston" today at 7 p.m. at The Book Shop in nearby Somerville (694 Broadway). The book is a comprehensive account of three centuries of thug life in Boston, featuring many of the city’s legendary crime stories—from Prohibition to the Mafia, the Irish Gang War to Whitey Bulger.
