Harvard-Kent Students Raise Money for Japan

Following last year's model of a "Hat Day for Haiti" students and teachers raised over $600.

Last year, the Harvard-Kent School sponsored "Hat Day for Haiti" to raise money for the victims of the devastating earthquake. Knowing what a huge success that was, we again sponsored another hat day, this time for the victims of the Japan earthquake and tsunami on April 1, 2011.

Students donated $1 to wear a hat; teachers and staff donated $5. Some students and staff went above and beyond and donated more! In total, $660 was raised for Japan relief and donated to the American Red Cross. The smallest contributions helped add up to something great.
