Hearing to Address Bus Idling Issues
City Councilors are asking what laws regulate commercial and tour bus idling in Boston neighborhoods.

There will be a City Council hearing today on bus idling -- including commercial and tour buses.
(For those of you who have been tracking , this may be of interest. Members of the public are invited to testify.)
The hearing is sponsored by Charlestown's own District 1 Councilor, Sal LaMattina, as well as At-Large Councilor Felix Arroyo.

The councilors want to discuss with city officials what laws and regulations currently exist for bus idling at the municipal and state levels, further actions that could be taken to eliminate unnecessary bus idling, and which agencies have jurisdiction over bus idling.
The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24 in the council chambers at City Hall.
