If You've Got a Story to Tell...
MTV's True Life will reportedly be casting Tuesday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus.

Diane Grant, business manager for the Charlestown Chamber of Commerce, passed on the message today about an open casting call at the Knights of Columbus for MTV's True Life show. The call is open from noon to 3 p.m. for people between ages 16 and 24.
Patch hasn't been able to get in touch with anyone at MTV to confirm the details, but a web search for "True Life casting calls in Boston" turned this up: A blurb for an upcoming episode of the show.
TRUE LIFE: I'M FROM BOSTON
Are you fiercely proud of the fact that you're from Boston? Is it hard to imagine ever living outside of Route 95? Do you remember exactly what you were doing on October 27th, 2004? Are your pets - or even kids - named after players from the Sox, Celts or Pats? Do you go into an angry tirade anytime anyone says, "New York?"
Maybe you grew up in Charlestown, Revere or Southie, possess an accent that would make Ben Affleck proud, and can't imagine ever living anywhere else. Does your neighborhood still possess the same small town vibe that it had when you were younger? Or is it changing in ways that make you uneasy?
Or maybe you're from Mattapan or Roxbury and have grown up experiencing a different side of Boston. What's unique about your neighborhood? What challenges do you face? Have you ever had to contend with racial discrimination living in this city where inter-ethnic tensions have often run high?
Whether you're set on living and dying in the neighborhood you grew up in, or can't wait to get out and see the greater world, if you want to share what it's like to live in Boston, MTV wants to hear from you. If you appear to be between the ages of 16 and 28 and think your story would make for an interesting True Life episode email us at mass@mtvn.com. Be sure to include your name, your number, your photo and a brief explanation of what makes your story compelling.
