It Didn't Rain on the Bunker Hill Parade
Despite the dark clouds and chill in the air, the streets of Charlestown were full of people celebrating on Sunday.

Today is Monday, June 13. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. The skies were gray, there was a chill in the air but fortunately it never rained on the Bunker Hill parade. I happily wandered around Charlestown yesterday for my first Bunker Hill celebration. The neighborhood has never felt so alive and warm and welcoming. It was awesome. We've got lots of videos and photos to share from the weekend. , but check back later today for more.
2. And we want to see your photos! From the parade. From any celebration over the weekend. From your after party. Whatever you got that you'd like to share. Click here to add to the user-submitted gallery.

3. For many Charlestown natives, yesterday's celebration was part of annual ritual. Many townies will proudly tell you they've never missed a parade. This weekend Diane Grant wrote a great column about her own memories of the parade -- all 53 of them that she's seen -- and the one year she missed it. (She was in labor!) If you haven't already read this, it's totally worth it.
4. Meanwhile, on the other side of the state, the heartbreak and tragedy is still playing out after tornadoes ravaged the area two weeks ago. You can read the story of how one family is trying to recover in yesterday's Globe -- it's a tough story to read, but it really illustrates how serious this event was. Hundreds of people are still living in Springfield's convention center. You can help by donating to the American Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter at 506 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104. For more information on how to support the Red Cross response, visit www.redcrosscwm.org or call 413-737-4306.

5. Today's forecast. It will feel like summer again soon. Just not today. It'll only get up to about 62 today, with isolated showers after 3 p.m. Chance of rain - 20 percent.
