JetBlue Flight Diverted to Boston Due to Mechanical Failure

A JetBlue Airways flight headed to Florida from Worcester was diverted to Logan International Airport in Boston on Sunday due to a mechanical issue.
As a result of the malfunction, the plane’s flaps became stuck in an upright position. The pilot circled Logan Airport several times in an attempt to correct the issue before landing, the Worcester Telegram reports. The pilot was forced to land at a higher-than-normal rate of speed and required more runway space.

According to JetBlue, passengers were given a $50 credit and bused to Worcester or to their homes.
The airline company said the plane was in need of maintenance and an inspection.
