Looking for a Few Good Coaches
Charlestown Soccer is looking for coaches to support its youth soccer program.

Today is Thursday, June 30. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. Charlestown Soccer is looking for a few volunteer couches. If you're interested in helping out their youth soccer program, get in touch at info@charlestownsoccer.com. They're looking for a commitment of two or three sessions each week per season for travel and recreational teams of under 6 to under 14 -- boys and girls. You can also visit charlestownsoccer.com for more info.
2. I caught this on Twitter and have been trying to get more details from MassDOT -- seems worth sharing. Apparently a plan to put a pedestrian bridge at Leverett Circle has just won approval. It will go over Storrow Drive to the Esplanade. You can read a little bit more on the Livable Streets blog. If I hear more from the DOT I'll be sure to post it.

3. June is Men's Health Month. Before the month is out, the MGH Health Center wants to about men's health issues and preventative care. You can stop by today from 2 to 3 p.m., when staff will be hosting an informational table in the lobby.
4. Speaking of free health care advice, there will be a on July 5 for seniors. Eileen McAdams, an RN and educator from the MGH Center, will coach participants on how to talk with their health care providers -- and how to access important info. That runs from 1 to 2 p.m. and is open to the whole community.
