Looking for a Few Good Musicians? (And Your Announcements, Too)

A local musician is looking for others to perform Latin American Christmas music this holiday season.

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 19. Here are five things you need to know today.

1. Are you a local musician? Are you interested in performing with other neighbors? Bob Hill, a local fellow, is looking for a group of singers and instrumentalists to perform Renaissance Christmas music from Latin America. If this sounds like fun to you, and get in touch with him.

2. And while I'm mentioning Bob's announcement -- I hope you all know you're free to post your own announcements on Patch. It's free! And easy! Once you've got an account setup for the site, just click on "announcements" (under the news tab on the homepage) and then click on the "announce it to everyone" button. It's on the right side of the page.

3. Did you know that one of your neighbors has been participating in the Occupy Boston protest since it started. And she's not a college student. She's an unemployed mom, grandma and Townie. .

4. Last time, the Charlestown boys took it. Will they win again? tonight at the Community Center. I'm sure the kids would love to have you cheering them.
