Looking for Safe Medication Disposal?

CSAC and the Boston Police Department are sponsoring a safe medication and needle disposal on April 30.

The Charlestown Substance Abuse Coalition and Boston Police Department are sponsoring safe medication disposal for any and all unused or expired prescription and over the counter drugs and hypodermic needles.

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on April 30, you can drop off drugs and needles at the police station in Charlestown at 20 Vine St. The drop-off is anonymous.

Organizers just ask that you blacken out or remove personal information on pill bottles -- but leave the name of the medication visible.

If the medication is not in a bottle, place it in sealable plastic bags.

All needles should be in containers or sturdy bottles.
