The high school, the protests, the kids on Main Street and the city's trash policy have prompted dozens of readers to post comments this week.

1. Want to get people talking in Charlestown? Ask them how they feel about the high school. That's the lesson for me this week. We've run a couple of stories about the high school, its relationship to the community and some public meetings held on the matter recently. There's been a steady stream of comments. Want to .
2. Then there's the trash talk. Yesterday the City Council on whether officials should mandate the use of trash barrels. Would this keep trash off the streets? Discourage people from rummaging for bottles and cans? And is that a good or bad thing? .

3. A user named Charles posted this on Patch Thursday afternoon: "The kids/thugs on the corner of Sullivan st and Main st need to be addressed. We should not have to live in fear of walking by this section of MAIN st." ...Anyone else seeing the same kids on Main Street? Last I heard from police, things were getting better.
