Police Reports: Jewelry, Safes Stolen in House Breaks

These reports were collected from the Boston Police Department and took place between Feb. 19 and 25 within Charlestown's District A-15. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Jewelry, Safes Stolen in House Breaks
Several pieces of jewelry and a lock box were stolen from a home on Brighton Street on Thursday, Feb. 21.

The homeowner told police he left home at around 7 a.m. and returned at around 5 p.m. to find the front door ajar. Inside, he found that numerous jewelry containers had been spread out across the bed. A gray lock box and various pieces of jewelry were reported missing.

A safe and several pieces of jewelry were also reported stolen from a home on Bunker Hill Street on Saturday, Feb. 23.

Police were called to the residence at around 9 a.m. for the report of a break-in in progress. Officers observed a smashed door in the rear of the building. They secured the building and located a rock they believe was used to damage the door, according to reports.

Police contacted the homeowner, who said she had been away for the week. A gray safe and numerous pieces of jewelry were reported missing.

Boston Police detectives are investigating both incidents.

Suspect Tries To Stab Woman with Scissors 
A woman contacted police after she was physically assaulted by three suspects, one of whom tried to stab her with a pair of scissors, while at a friend’s home on Thursday, Feb. 21.

The incident took place at a Dunstable Street home. The victim was able to get away from the suspects and went home where she contacted police. Officers responded to the scene and located the suspect, who was arrested.

Suspect Arrested on Armed Robbery Warrant 
An individual was arrested on McNulty Court on Wednesday, Feb. 20 for an outstanding warrant out of Suffolk Superior Court, for armed robbery.

Hole Found in Bank Roof 
Police were called to the Citizens Bank on Austin Street on Sunday, Feb. 24 after roofers doing work on the building found that a hole had been cut in the roof.

The workers had been called in to fix a leak, but when they peeled back a rubber liner on the roof they found the hole, according to reports.

Boston Police detectives are investigating.
