Possibly Distraught Man Climbs Up Tobin Bridge, Talked Back Down
A video shows a frightening situation that ended relatively well in Boston Wednesday night.
A man seemingly considering jumping off the top of the Tobin Bridge Wednesday night was fortunately convinced to safely climb back down by emergency personnel, according to a report from the Boston Herald.
The source notes that the incident forced the closure of the southbound portion of the bridge between Boston and Chelsea for almost an hour and a half.
During that time, the man dangled his arm and leg over the edge at different points in time. He also chatted on his cell phone, before sliding to a middle beam and into the waiting custody of police, according to the Herald.
