CHARLESTOWN, MA — The smoke in Charlestown is actually coming from powdered cement, not a fire, according to officials. Around 9 a.m. firefighters were called to 50 Terminal Street for a report that a concrete truck had been filled too full. It created a large cloud, prompting a level 2 Hazmat response.

It wasn't long before a number of people started taking to social media asking what the smoke was in Charlestown.

It appears to have powdered cement.
