SEX OFFENDER MAP: Where Do Charlestown's Highest Level Sex Offenders Live and Work?

Charlestown has seven Level 3 sex offenders who either live or work in town, according to the state’s Sex Offender Registry Board.

The Level 3 sex offender designation is reserved for the most severe offenders. Level 3 sex offenders pose a ‘high risk’ to reoffend, according to the state. They are not wanted by police, and it is illegal to use the following information to commit a crime or engage in any discrimination or harassment against an offender.

Baron Bush, 61, works at 0 Terminal St. in Charlestown. Convicted of one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age in 1997, one count of purchasing or possession child pornography in 2007, three counts of posing or exhibiting a child in a state of nudity or sexual conduct in 1997 and five counts of purchasing or possessing child pornography in 2007.

Peter Dearruda, 48, attends school at Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown. Convicted of two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age in 1996.

Francis Metell, 34, works at 100 Terminal St. in Charlestown. Convicted of one count of dissemination of matter harmful to minors in 2008, one count of posing or exhibiting a child in a state of nudity or sexual conduct in 2008, two counts of dissemination of child pornography in 2008, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age in 2008, three counts of dissemination of matter harmful to minors in 2012, four counts of purchasing or possessing child pornography in 2008, 13 counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age and 449 counts of purchasing or possessing child pornography in 2012.

William Ralphs, 54, lives at 113 Bunker Hill St. in Charlestown. Convicted of one count of open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior in 1993, one count of open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior in 2004 and one count of indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 or older in 2004.

John Saunders, 61, attends school at Bunker Hill Community College. Convicted of one count of O/S assault of a child with intent to commit rape in 1999.

Douglas Tobin, 60, homeless in the area of Sullivan Square in Charlestown. Convicted of one count of indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 or older, one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age, and one count of rape, all in 2007.

Charles Turner, 58, works at 100 Terminal St. in Charlestown. Convicted of indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 or older, one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under years of age and two counts of rape and abuse of a child, all in 1992.
