Special Food Truck Meeting Set for Wednesday

The Friends of the Charlestown Navy Yard and city officials will discuss food truck plans for the neighborhood.

Today is Tuesday, July 26. Here are five things you need to know today.

1. Food trucks: You've got questions about where that one destined for the Navy Yard has been and city officials (hopefully) have answers. You can hear from them this Wednesday during a special meeting at the Constitution Inn/YMCA. Reps from the city and the Friends of the Navy Yard will be meeting on the fifth floor at 7 p.m. to go over the food truck plan for the neighborhood. The meeting is open to the public.

2. Have you lost a black cat? Fran Roberts posted on Patch yesterday that one has been roaming backyards around Hancock Street. Feel free to respond here if the cat's yours, and I can get you two connected.

3. Been wondering about next steps for the Rutherford Avenue redesign project? We've got some details. , published on Monday, about Congressman Capuano's latest correspondence with the city about the project.

4. Patch Passport is here. Check the site every day this week (Saturday and Sunday too) for our special series, highlighting the best of Charlestown -- and all of the communities Patch covers.
