Tonight: A Free Concert and a Family Cookout
There are two free events to get you outside and enjoying the neighborhood tonight.

Today is Wednesday, Aug. 17. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. There are two fabulous outdoor events scheduled tonight in Charlestown -- and if you time it right, you can get to both. First, the City Square summer concert series is wrapping up the season with , a steel drum band. They'll be performing live (and for free) in the park from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
2. And just a short walk away at , Charlestown Against Drugs is hosting a "" family cookout. There will be burgers and dogs, some street hockey and basketball games and, as the sun sets, an outdoor movie: . The Eden Street party runs from 5 to 10 p.m. It's also free and open to everyone in the neighborhood.
3. The neighborhood wasn't just morning the loss of Peter Looney this week. Neighbors, friends and family also attended a funeral for a young resident, Meaghan Brady, who died on Aug. 10.
