Want to Compete on MasterChef?

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 26. Here are five things you need to know today.

1. Think you've got some skills in the kitchen? FOX's MasterChef wants to see them. If you bring a home-cooked dish to Le Courdon Bleu in Cambridge on Nov. 5, judges will assess whether you're worthy of a spot on the TV show. Click for a few more details. Or visit masterchefcasting.com.

2. Reminder: The to go over the proposed building plan for 40 Warren St. If you're a neighbor or you're just curious, the meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Knights.

3. And one more reminder from the police -- don't leave anything in your cars! No laptops, no GPS, not even spare change. That's enough, officers say, to prompt a break-in.
