What's on this Weekend: Fundraisers for Local Orgs
Plus, a new performance and a new art exhibit open this weekend in the neighborhood.

It's a big weekend for one of Charlestown's oldest organizations and one of its newest. Plus, check out the latest show the Charlestown Working Theater, the new exhibit at the StoveFactory Gallery and Oxy-Morons gets a swanky screening and black-tie party downtown.
Fundraiser:
Where: 80 City Square
When: Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m.
Why Go: Watch the Pats play the Giants on big screen TVs. Eat roast beef, fries, wings and other tailgating snacks. Raise money for Boys & Girls Club, enter raffles for Pats ands Bruins tickets and other sports prizes. All food will be prepared by John Moore, owner and chef of Navy Yard Bistro & Wine Bar.
Details: Tickets are $75 at the door; $65 in advance. (Price includes parking.)
Fundraiser: - for Stiggy's Dogs
Where: Knights of Columbus
When: Saturday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: This will be a night to honor veterans and raise awareness of the benefits of psychiatric service dogs offered by . The service dogs are placed with veterans who are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury. This night is to raise money for a non-profit company called Stiggy's Dogs. Art Exhibit:
Where: Stove Factory Gallery on Medford Street
When: Friday (opening reception) from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why Go: This “open” exhibition, sponsored by the Artists’ Group of Charlestown, will feature over 30 artists’ showing original work which is “on” or “about” paper and includes painting, prints, sculpture, collage, artist books, photography and other works relating to “paper."

Why Go: Filled with the raw energy of early rock n' roll, MOJO is a high-tension, high-speed menacing comedy in the Pinter tradition. Featuring live music by The Sheehnanigans.

Screening: Oxy-Morons + Q&A and Cocktail Reception
Where: Royale, 279 Tremont St
When: Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Details: The film is based on Johnny Hickey's personal experience as a local drug dealer turned recovered addict and filmmaker. The Phoenix is organizing the screening at Royale, preceded by a cocktail hour and Q&A with Hickey. Stick around for an after-party post-film (cocktail attire required).
