Where to Vote for Mayor, City Council in Charlestown Today
Voting precincts open at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Today, Tuesday, Nov. 5 is a big day for the city of Boston as voters will elect the first new mayor in 20 years in 1993 when current Mayor Thomas Menino was named acting mayor before winning his first of five mayoral elections that same year.
Polls in Boston will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Charlestown residents, all of whom live in Boston's Ward 2, will be voting at the following locations:

- Districts 1 and 2—Zelma Lacey House, 9 West School St. Voting takes place in the community room.
- Districts 2 and 4—Harvard-Kent Elementary School, 50 Bunker Hill St.
Voting takes place in the gymnasium. - Districts 5 and 6—Clarence R. Edwards Middle School, 28 Walker St.
Enter through the rear entrance from Eden Street. Voting takes in the gymnasium. - District 7— 382 Main St. Voting takes place in the building.

Tomorrow, Nov. 5, is strictly a municipal election in which Charlestown voters will have the opportunity to vote for the Mayor of Boston, the City Councilor representing Charlestown (in the city's District 1) and four at-large seats on the Council.
