Working Theater Hosts Comedy Benefit
Tony V hosts the theater's annual fundraiser, set for this Friday night.

Today is Thursday, June 2. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. This is a big week for the Charlestown Working Theater, starting with a special visit from an and ending Friday with a . Local comedian Tony V (and friends) is hosting an evening of food, drink and laughter at the theater. Tickets are $100 and all proceeds benefit the theater's children's and educational programming. Get in touch with Kristin for more details: kristin@workingtheater.org or 617-242-3285. You can also visit charlestownworkingtheater.org.
2. Want to buy a home in the Navy Yard with harbor views for less than $100,000? That caught my eye, too, so I clicked on this Craigslist ad for houseboats. SleepAfloat Houseboats promise "an extremely home-like marine experience" with two sleeping areas, ample closet space and, of course, your own private deck. Want to learn more? Click here.
3. Because who doesn't want a cutting board with a picture of the Orange Line on it? Yeah. The MBTA now has an online gift shop, complete with MBTA-themed kitchen appliances (truly, cutting boards!), apparel, greeting cards and art. The store was launched as part of the MBTA's ongoing plan to raise non-fare revenue. So hey, go support your local public transit system and buy a MBTA Token (remember those?) necklace.
4. It's Thursday -- Charlestown Live night. This week host Kathy Giordano will speak with Ed Kelly from Bunker Hill Associates and Leo Breen, past president about Charlestown Pride Week events. Watch and take notes on all the happenings leading up to Bunker Hill Day. Charlestown Live airs on on BNN-TV Comcast Channel 9 and RCN Channel 15 on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7 p.m. It airs again on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Monday at 10:30 a.m.
5. Today's forecast: Sunny, with a high near 72. Enjoy!
