5 Things to Know for the Week Ahead in Chelmsford

From deadlines to fun times, here's a quick look at what you need to know for the week of Dec. 7-13 in Chelmsford.

  1. Meetings this Week. The Chelmsford Housing Authority, Board of Selectmen, Historical Commission, Cultural Council, Board of Health and other boards/committees have meetings scheduled this week. Check out the dates, times and agendas here.
  2. Half-day for Chelmsford Students. Friday, Dec. 10, students throughout the district will be released for a half-day.
  3. Muffins with Santa. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat continental breakfast, holiday crafts and more Dec. 12 from 9 a.m.-noon at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Chelmsford. Adults are $4 and children 6 months and older are $3. Pictures with Santa will be available for $5. Proceeds benefit various community projects.
  4. Free Pics with Santa. Gurukul Learning Center (317 Littleton Road) is sponsoring free pictures with Santa on Dec. 12 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The center will be collecting mittens, coats and hats for local charities.
  5. Trees for Troops. Mahoney’s Garden Centers is once again collecting donations for the Trees for Troops program. This year, you can donate in one of the eight Massachusetts Mahoney’s locations, over the phone and online. Check out details here.
