Academic Honors Roundup for Chelmsford Residents
Take a look at the latest Chelmsford residents to receive accolades.

The following Chelmsford students have received honors at their respective schools:
- Joseph Christopher, Matthew Daly of Chelmsford, Emily Krauch, Mary Nestor, and Nicholas Surette, all of Chelmsford, and Tia Martineau of North Chelmsford have been named to UMass Dartmouth’s 2015 Spring Dean’s List in recognition of earning a semester grade point average of 3.2 or higher of a possible 4.0.
- Anthony Koeckhoven of Chelmsford and Brooke Garvey of North Chelmsford have been named to the Chancellor’s List in recognition of earning a Spring 2015 semester grade point average of 3.8 or higher of a possible 4.0.
- Jennifer Day from the women’s swimming and diving team has been honored as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 8. Day was victorious in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.46) and 200-yard freestyle (2:00.01) after anchoring the winning 400-yard medley relay team as the Engineers sweeps a quad dual on Sunday against Babson, Smith and Brandeis. The sophomore also performed well a day earlier at the New England Invitational. Day placed third in the 400-yard individual medley (4:44.09) and finished seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.95).
- Amy McInerney was among 181 first-year students who received a Dean’s Scholarship this year at Keene State College. This renewable merit scholarship is awarded annually to incoming freshmen who demonstrate academic excellence with either a high school GPA of 2.5 or greater and a minimum SAT score of more than 1700 or a high school GPA of 2.75 or greater and a minimum SAT score of more than 1600. Fulltime in-state students receive $2,500 annually, and fulltime out-of-state students receive an annual award of $6,000.
