Boston Subway Train Falls Off Tractor Trailer On I-495

The MBTA Orange Line train car got stuck on the road after getting dislodged from the truck hauling it, 7News Boston reported​.

CHELMSFORD, MA — Two lanes were closed Wednesday morning on Route 495 in Chelmsford after a trailer became separated from a truck late Tuesday night, according to MassDOT and the Massachusetts State Police.

The right lane and breakdown lane on Route 495 northbound in Chelmsford shut down at exit 89 Wednesday morning before reopening a few hours later, officials said.

The train car was being transported from Springfield to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s Wellington station when the trailer broke loose around 9 p.m. Tuesday, a T spokesperson told Boston25 News. No injuries were reported and the train was not damaged, the outlet reported.
