UPDATE: Portion of Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Will Be Closed Aug. 18

Trail maintenance will be done during the closure.

UPDATE:

Crews continue to perform tree pruning and debris removal on the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail in Chelmsford.

On Tuesday, Aug. 18, the portion of the trail from Maple Road to High Street will be closed from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. for this maintenance.

Portions of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail will be closed to traffic on Tuesdays throughout August.

The Chelsmford Department of Public Works hired Arbor East to remove and prune trees and clear debris from the trail. The company plans to work every Tuesday in August beginning Aug. 4.

The Rail Trail from the Pond Street location to the Chelmsford-Westford line will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 4 from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Additional updates will be given as the location of the work changes each week throughout August.
