Chelmsford Chooses New Cloud-based System for Permits, Licenses

The town has announced it will go with ViewPoint, a Belmont company.

Recently the town announced it has selected a new system for rollout in a few months that will allow residents to apply for permits online.

ViewPermit, based out of Belmont, will provide an integrated system that will combine GIS data and licensing information in a cloud-based environment.

“The ViewPermit system will increase the convenience to the public, while improving employee productivity," says Town Manager Paul Cohen. "Residents and business owners will be able to file and track the status of their licenses and permits online. It is what one expects in today’s digital world.”
