Chelmsford Expected To Get 8-12 Inches Of Snow Friday

Residents should not put any materials out on Thursday evening or Friday morning.

CHELMSFORD, MA — Chelmsford has cancelled trash and recycling collection on Friday, Feb. 25, when the area is expected to get 8 to 12 inches of snow.

Residents should not put any materials out on Thursday evening or Friday morning. Collection will be completed to the extent possible on Saturday, Feb. 26.

"Areas left standing on Saturday will be collected first thing on Monday,” said the town. "There may be a bit of a delay next week as we catch up, but please understand that we are working together to ensure recycling and trash is collected as soon as possible! Thank you for your patience and stay safe!"

Chelmsford also issued a parking ban ahead of Friday’s storm, which will be in effect from 12 a.m. Feb. 25 through 6 a.m. Feb. 26. Residents are asked to remove all vehicles from roadways as to not interfere with plow operations.

Vehicles that are parked on the roads during parking ban hours are subject to being towed at the owner's expense.
