Chelmsford Now Home To Sheriff's Office Civil Processing Division
The office has moved from Medford to Chelmsford and will share space with the Middlesex Sheriff's Office Training Academy.

CHELMSFORD, MA —The Middlesex Sheriff's Office Civil Process Division opened in its new location on Monday in Chelmsford.
The division has moved to 40 Brick Kiln Rd. from its previous home in Medford. The office now will share space with the MSO's Training Academy. The MSO Process Division was closed on Friday for the move.
According to its website, the Civil Process Division serves and enforces all civil process throughout the 54 cities and towns of Middlesex County.

"(The division) primarily serves legal documents and court orders throughout Middlesex County — helping to facilitate the judicial process. These documents can be served on behalf of law firms or litigants who are representing themselves," said Kevin Maccioli, director of media relations and public information for the MSO.
The Civil Process Division employs uniformed and non-uniformed deputies, as well as an extensive administrative staff to help get legal documents serviced.

The division is fully insured by the state and is not restricted to what type of judicial papers it can serve.
