Chelmsford Police Release Rules for 4th of July Celebration

The following rules have been established for the upcoming July 4th parade in Chelmsford:

The following items are prohibited along the parade route on July 4, 2016 and on the common on July 3rd and July 4th.

1. Coolers (with the exception of the vendors on the common)

2. Backpacks
3. No firearms, weapons, sharp objects or fireworks of any kind
4. Alcoholic Beverages
5. Drones or other flying objects
6. Any radio controlled devices such as cars, trucks and other movable devices
7. No grilling, propane tanks or open flames (with the exception of the vendors on the common)
8. All vendor areas on the common will be subject to search on July 3rd and July 4th

**ALL bags, coolers and personal effects are subject to search. Please do not leave any items unattended. Any unattended items will be disposed of by law enforcement personnel.**
