Chelmsford Students Recognized At Nashoba Valley Tech
All four of Nashoba Valley Tech's September Students and Athletes of the Month are from Chelmsford.

CHELMSFORD, MA — Nashoba Valley Technical High School has selected its September Students and Athletes of the Month, and it's a clean sweep for Chelmsford, according to the school's Dan Phelps.
Catelynn Forrest and Harrison Mayotte, both of Chelmsford, as September’s Students of the Month.
Catelynn Forrest, daughter of Robert and Sylvia Forrest, is a senior in the Early Childhood Education and Care program. She has been an honor-roll student who decided to attend Nashoba Tech so she could get in-class training on educating children. She plans to attend college to study Child Psychology so she can counsel children, according to Phelps. She also competes for both the volleyball and lacrosse teams at Nashoba Tech.

"Through this tough time and new way of learning, Catelynn has come to school with a smile on her face and ready to learn," said Christine Diaze, an instructor in the Early Childhood and Education Care program. "When her classmates complain, she encourages them and puts them in a better mood. She has made the best of a tough situation, not only for herself but for her fellow classmates and, at times, her teachers.”
Harrison Mayotte, son of Robert and Laura Mayotte, is a sophomore in the Programming and Web Development program who chose to attend Nashoba Tech because of its welcoming environment and dedicated teachers, he told school officials. He plans to get a degree in Business Administration after high school.

"As a first-year teacher here at Nashoba Tech, things have been pretty confusing," said Christopher Egan, a new instructor for Programming and Web Development who nominated Harrison. "Harrison has made the transition to high-school education much easier. Harrison is easy to talk to, participates in each discussion, but also gives other students a chance to answer even though he knows the answer, and helps classmates when they have a question with their lab work. In the short time I’ve known him, he has been a model student."
Athletes of the Month
Julia Chamberlain and Seth Rigby, both of Chelmsford and both members of the cross-country team, were selected as Athletes of the Month.

Julia Chamberlain, daughter of Michael and Jennifer Chamberlain, is a sophomore captain for cross-country who also competes for the basketball and spring track teams. Julia is a high-honors student in the Health Assisting program.
Seth Rigby, son of Brad and Wendy Rigby, is a senior captain for cross-country who also competes for the winter and spring track teams.
Seth is an honor-roll student in the Engineering Technology program. He is a senior patrol leader for his Boy Scout troop and is interested in pursuing a career in film or television, according to the school.
