Chelmsford Wants You To Set Up Your Restaurant At Crossroads
It's an effort to attract restaurants to the new Crossroads At Route 129, the town is offering a few incentives.

CHELMSFORD, MA —In an effort to attract new business to the CrossRoads at Route 129 business district, the town's Business Development has opened a special grant program.
The Business Amenity Incentive Grant is to encourage a restaurant, brewpub, or other indoor food or beverage establishment to set up shop within the Chelmsford Cross Roads at Route 129. The main caveat is that the new business be open to the public.
It's part of the town's conversion of a 600-acre office park into a mixed-use corridor. At the 2019 Spring Town Meeting, representatives voted to allow drive-thrus associated with fast casual eateries.

In an effort to incentivize a new or expanded business to do just that, the town has a few perks for the winning applicant, including up to $100,000 to go to a new or expanding restaurant or bar who locates in that overlay district to go toward food/beverage restaurant tenant fit‐up and/or equipment.
The MA Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development is funding the grant, according to town hall.
