Chelmsford Water District Ups Water Restriction Level
This may last, but Friday is supposed to be very rainy.

The Chelmsford Water District has put out an elevated water restriction.
The Town is under a Level 3 water restriction. This means that residents are not permitted to use water outdoors for lawns or gardens.
While this has been put in effect, it is important to mention that heavy rain is expected.
The blistering heat wave and an exasperating drought are expected to be washed out by thunderstorms and heavy rainfall Friday.

Thunderstorms are slated to begin on the tail end of the Friday morning commute and persist through the afternoon, tapering off in the early evening. The rain will hit the southern part of the state with some force, with the heaviest downfall expected for Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape & Islands.
The heat wave had already begun to wane around the state Wednesday; for the first time in seven days, temperatures didn't break 90 degrees at Logan Airport.
