Chelmsford's First Chase Branch Holds Grand Opening Celebration

CHELMSFORD, MA — JP Morgan Chase on Wednesday held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its first bank branch in Chelmsford, which is located at 50 Drum Hill Rd.

The ceremony featured Chase employees along with Lisa Marrone, Chelmsford's director of business development, Pat Wojtas, a member of the town's Select Board and John Harrington, of the Chelmsford Business Association.

"We've long viewed Chelmsford as a place we wanted to be," said Alonso Mejia, Chase market director for the North Shore. "We look forward to building new relationships and helping our customers during life's most important moments, like opening their first savings account, buying their first home or planning for retirement."

The new Chelmsford Chase branch is nearly 3,000 square feet in size and, according to the company, features modern, bright designs with comfortable meeting areas and state-of-the-art banking technology.

Chase said the branch will feature a dedicated Chase Private Client Team, which will provide premium banking services, personalized attention and access to the expertise and investment capabilities of J.P. Morgan

"We have a fantastic team of bankers here in Chelmsford who are dedicated to meeting the needs of our customers," said Katherine Jaime, the Chelmsford branch manager. "We want to be where our customers live and work, which is why we're excited to be growing our presence here on the North Shore."

In addition to the benefits Chase can provide for its customers, Chase highlighted what it will do for its local employees. The bank said that entry-level employees will be paid no less than $18 per hour and receive the firm's full benefits package.

After opening its first Massachusetts branch in Boston in 2018, Chase said it now has nearly 40 branches in the state. The company said it serves more than 1.1 million customers and nearly 50,000 business clients in Massachusetts.
