'Fill the Cruiser' Happening Saturday in Chelmsford
The Chelmsford Police Department will sponsor the Toys for Tots event this weekend.

The Chelmsford Police Department is inviting the community to participate in its “Fill the Cruiser” Toys for Tots event this weekend.
Sgt. Stephen Fredericks will lead the event for the third year in a row at the Chelmsford Walmart. He is hoping to collect over 650 toys, which would surpass last year’s numbers.

“As people are out doing their holiday shopping, we ask that they stop by Walmart to give a gift to a child in need,” Police Chief James Spinney said. “I commend Sgt. Fredericks for coordinating this event so that every child can have a happy holiday.”
WHAT
Chelmsford Police will collect toys through the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to be donated to children in need. Residents are asked to bring an unwrapped gift, for a girl or boy, ages infant to 16, to the Walmart parking lot to assist officers in filling the department’s cruisers with toys.
