LETTER: Maloney is Honest and Competent

To the Editor:

Good local government depends on honest, competent people willing to work and give back to the community.  Pat Maloney lives that philosophy every day of his life.  For the past 13 years, he has shown us what community service and responsiveness are all about by bringing several building projects in on time and under budget, an accomplishment virtually unheard of in the public sector.  Pat now wants to build on the town’s positives by taking a leadership role on the Board of Selectmen.

Pat has lived in Chelmsford all his life.  As a young adult, he started a local business and raised his family here because he loves and recognizes Chelmsford for the wonderful town that it is.   Through his endless community service, he is thoroughly committed to making Chelmsford the best it can be for all of us.       

Pat understands the unique and tough fiscal issues that lay ahead.   He is ready to work for all citizens addressing the needs of fair taxation, open and green space preservation, affordable housing, capital projects, overall fiscal responsibility and getting our legislative delegation working to deliver the support we need.   When elected, Pat will continue to speak forthrightly and face the tough issues head on, and those who know him would expect nothing less.  His decisions stand on their merits, and he takes responsibility for his actions.  

Pat has no further political ambitions, no political agenda, no self-interest other than the interests of the town as a whole.  What you see is what you get.   When elected, Pat  will continue to give us his best effort all the time and will not let us down.

Please support Pat for election to the Board of Selectmen, and give him one of your two votes on April 2.
