Portions of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail were closed to traffic on Tuesdays throughout August, and the work will continue on Tuesday, Sept. 1.The Chelsmford Department of Public Works hired Arbor East to remove and prune trees and clear debris from the trail, necessitating the closure of portions of the trail during the past several weeks.On Tuesday, Sept. 1, the portion of the Rail Trail from Westview to Greenwood will be closed from 7-10 a.m. for the work to continue.
