Reason of Marguerite Road Fire Remains Unknown
Chelmsford Fire Department log for the week of June 2 to 10, 2013

June 2, 5:32 a.m. – An electrical fire was reported inside a garage on Marguerite Road.
Despite an investigation of the area, the cause of the fire remains unknown.
June 2, 7:42 p.m. –A homeowner had a camp fire on their property on Manning Road.

The fire was extinguished, as burning season ended on April 30.
June 4, 9:04 p.m. – Rainy conditions led to a branch falling on some wires on Fox Haven Way. The situation was dealt with by National Grid.

June 8, 4:32 a.m. – More poor weather conditions led to leaves and branches bringing down wires on Westford Street. Again, National Grid fixed the problem.
UPDATE: Another source from the Chelmsford Fire Department has said the investigation did provide a cause to the Marguerite Road garage fire.
It was found that electrical heat tape was left exposed during the weather, lowering its ignition temperature and eventually igniting wood in the garage.
