State Trooper Cruiser Struck in Chelmsford

The Massachusetts State Police has released a statement saying that an unknown object has struck one of their cruisers in the area of 495 Southbound in Chelmsford.
No one was harmed during the incident.
State Police representatives believe there is no danger to the public, but request that if any motorists were also struck by unknown objects that they contact the Concord Massachusetts State Police Barracks.

UPDATE 4:36 p.m. - The incident occurred near Route 4, and investigators believe the object was a bb pellet.

UPDATE 5:57 p.m. - Troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section and Ballistics Section will be examining the cruiser which sustained damage to the rear window down the road at the rest stop on 495.
The investigation has been delayed due to poor weather.
