Two Serious Accidents This Morning

Patch has learned through scanner reports that a pair of serious accidents have occurred this morning in Chelmsford.

The first occurred at 2:54 a.m., where a tractor trailer truck allegedly hit and killed a pedestrian before smashing into windows at the Best Western on Chelmsford Street and leaving the scene.

It was followed by a motorcyclist seriously injured in a collision with a car near the Drum Hill Rotary at approximately 5:11 a.m.

We will attempt to obtain additional information later in the day.

CORRECTION: We've been told the initial reports were incorrect, the accident occurred near the Best Western on the onramp to 495, not at the Best Western.
