Woman Arrested for Destruction of Property After Motorcycle Crash

Chelmsford Police Department officers made several arrests in recent days. Below are those arrests, which do not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, April 17
- Police received a report that a shoplifter had fled on foot from a Drum Hill Road business. After responded to the scene, police arrested John E. Fernandez, 24, of 189 Middlesex Street, Lowell. Fernandez was charged with larceny of property over $250.
- Chelmsford Police officers arrested Christopher M. Lucas, 30, of 26 Woodbury Road, Billerica. He was taken into custody on outstanding warrants for suspended license/failure to inspect a motor vehicle and suspended license/failure to ID.
- Police checked on two males who were on Chelmsford Street. Officers then arrested Anthony D. Davenport, 22, of 310 Copeland Street, Quincy, and charged him on a warrant for assault and battery and larceny over $250.
- A motorcycle accident occurred on Drum Hill Road as 12:06 p.m. Following the crash, Valerie Ann Mapes, 57, of 18A Pierce Street, Nashua, N.H., was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property over $250.
