Woman Dead Following Serious House Fire In Tyngsborough
The fire broke out just after 9 a.m. Thursday and fire officials received reports that multiple people were trapped inside.
TYNGSBOROUGH, MA — A woman is dead following a serious house fire at 24 Fletcher Drive in Tyngsborough, officials said.
The fire broke out just after 9 a.m. Thursday and fire officials received reports that multiple people were trapped inside.
One resident was quickly treated outside by an arriving Tyngsborough Police officer. A second resident was trapped inside a second-floor bedroom, but heavy smoke prevented the first arriving firefighters from making further entry into the home. She was brought out of the house by Tyngsboro firefighters who arrived shortly after.

The victim was transported to Lowell General Hospital, where she died from her injuries. A medical helicopter was originally requested, but cancelled.
The Dracut, Dunstable, and Nashua, N.H., Fire Departments, Lowell General Hospital Paramedics, and Trinity Ambulance responded to the scene to assist Tyngsborough. The American Red Cross is responding to assist displaced residents and the Chelmsford and Westford Fire Departments responded to Tyngsborough for station coverage.
